Turn the checklist into a household plan
A supply list is only one part of preparedness. Decide how household members will communicate, where they would meet, which alerts they follow, and how they would leave or shelter if necessary.
Review food, water, flashlights, radios, charging, essential documents, pet supplies, and transportation periodically. Replace expired items and adjust the plan when the household changes.
If anyone relies on powered medical or accessibility equipment, follow device-specific manufacturer and professional guidance for backup power and emergency planning.
